This year has been a year of hindrances and barriers, Covid-19 has canceled nearly every freaking event, and now Christmas is only one month away! There is visible confusion on everyone’s face about whether they will celebrate Christmas or be dampened by pandemic like everything. Every event came up as an alarming situation for Covid-19, as despite all the instructions, people end up mingling too much. There is a slight chance that Christmas will not be canceled, but it will be different this year, so pick out your Santa Claus Coat and be ready for the eve!
This year the only concern is to stay safe from the deadly viruses, and gathering could be the major cause of the spread of this virus. Event organizers and the people attending those events should also be considerate about their health, as with or without them, Christmas is going to be here next year. There are many suggested ways to celebrate Christmas by staying safe; here is how Covid-19 will affect your Christmas.
GOING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!
How about canceling going home and sticking to virtual Christmas? Coronavirus has upended everything, and Christmas seemed the only fun thing which shouldn’t be done virtually. The main cause you should stay at home is that you can be a victim of this deadly virus! Everyone is under threat from this virus, especially the ones who are traveling. The flights have been restored for emergency conditions, though that doesn’t mean that you can travel around the world for no big reason.
BIG GATHERING DINNERS!
Cancel your tradition of hosting big dinners with many people in them. This year go easy on the big gatherings. Many countries have already set limits for the number of people allowed at any dinner or party. The maximum number is six, and you can’t invite more than six people to your party. So stick to the rule and try to stay socially distant from people. Even big community dinners which used to feed a lot of people are canceled now! So for hosting any dinner or party, make sure to follow protocols.
- If you are planning on hosting a mass gathering for dinner, keep these points in your mind before preparing any food;
- The foremost thing is to wash your hands for 20 seconds before and after preparing food. Not just then, keep sanitizing your hands while serving the food.
- Instead of making food for everyone, make it like a one-dish party and ask your guests to bring their comfort foods with them.
- Try to limit the number of people around food or grill. Make sure to serve people at their place, so they don’t gather up in one place.
- Wash and disinfectant every reusable item after the event, though prioritize using disposable and recyclable items.
- Try to avoid touching any person, no matter how close they are to you.
- Get yourself tested after the gathering, nothing to worry about, just a healthy precaution.
PUBS DURING CHRISTMAS!
One of the best feelings of Christmas is to hang out with your friends in the pub and intoxicate the whole year’s stress out of your body. This year whether the bars will be open or not is still hangin’ in the air, and people are eagerly waiting for the decision, which is more likely going to be negative. Since negative is the new positive, make a little bar at your home and invite your close friends.
BUYING GIFTS!
Here is the main concern of this year, what is the point of buying gifts if you are not going to attend any big parties? Some of you might be financially unstable with the condition of Covid, and then you should skip the exchange of gifts parts or give hand-made gifts to the ones you love. Nothing is more beautiful than a hand-crafted gift for your loved ones. Send a gift to those who are away from you; make them feel loved and special. This is what this world needs right now!
CHRISTMAS PRAYERS!
Are there going to be any congregational prayers during Christmas? Cancellation of the gathering will become the biggest hindrance in the religious traditions of Christmas, so instead of going all at once, try going at different times in the form of a group of six. Keep your social activities, and every other big church work for the next year. Hopefully, you’ll be able to work on that next year!
AFTER CHRISTMAS!
If you have been showing any symptoms of the virus, there is no need to panic. Isolate yourself from others and get yourself tested along with other family members. Sanitize every item that belongs to your Christmas celebration, even your Santa Claus Shearling Coat, clean them with a disinfectant. You can celebrate any event with the precautions mentioned above, so don’t let Covid-19 cancel your Christmas.
